About the Library

The Library of the Institute of Forestry (IOF), Pokhara Campus is a central academic support unit dedicated to advancing higher education, research, and scholarly development in forestry, environment, wildlife, and biodiversity conservation. It serves as a vital knowledge hub for students, faculty members, and researchers.

Established in 1981 AD (2038 BS) alongside the establishment of Pokhara Campus, the library initially began its services with approximately 500 books in a rented facility. With the growth of the campus, the library gradually expanded its resources and services. Following the relocation and re-establishment of the campus in Pokhara in 1987 AD (Magh, 2043 BS), the library began operating from its own permanent, well-equipped building and has since evolved into a fully developed academic library.
